Product Description

Product Description:
Prepave Self-Adhesive Waterproof Membrane is made with petroleum asphalt as the base material, modified with styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS), styrene-butyl rubber (SBR), and tackifying resin. It features a polyester mat (PY) as the reinforcement layer, with fine sand on the upper surface and a release film on the lower surface.

Product Features:

1、The polyester mat (PY) as reinforcement layer which provides puncture resistance, abrasion resistance, and tearing resistance, it enhance the strength of material effectively, and protecting against damage and destruction from both the upper and lower surfaces.

2、The membrane bonds fully with the building structure, preventing liquid water and water vapor entering the structure. After the prepave membrane installed, rebar and concrete can be directly laid on top without the need for a protective layer, it speed up the construction progress.

3、The prepave reverse-adhesive specially membrane is specially reinforced for puncture resistance, reducing the damage caused by impacts during the direct tying of foundation rebar on top.

4、 High tensile strength and large elongation (tensile force > 800N/50mm, elongation rate ≥ 40%), with strong adaptability to substrate shrinkage, deformation, and cracking.

5、Do not flow at high temperatures and does not crack at low temperatures, offering a wide temperature range for use (high temperature: 70°C, low temperature: -20°C).

How to Use

Key Points of Construction -

1、 For underground projects using the pre-laying method, the plane should be laid out first, followed by the vertical surfaces. Temporary protective walls should be built with lime mortar, and the inner surface should be coated with a release agent.

2、 When pre-laying the waterproofing membrane, overlap the joint edges and use a roller to heavily press the overlapping part to ensure the membrane is fully bonded and securely adhered. In low temperatures, a hot air welding gun can be used to assist in the bonding process.

3、 Lapping and sealing of the membrane: The membrane should be lapped using the self-adhesive method, with the end laps staggered. During vertical surface construction, mechanical fastening should be carried out every 400mm-600mm within the 10mm-20mm range from the edge of the self-adhesive side, ensuring that the fastening structure is completely covered by the membrane. When pouring concrete, do not damage the waterproof layer.

4、 For the part of the membrane that folds from the base to the vertical surface and comes into contact with the permanent protective wall, the empty-laying method should be used: the part of the membrane that comes into contact with the temporary protective wall or enclosure structure template should be temporarily adhered to the wall or template, and the top end should be temporarily fixed.

5、 When no protective wall is set up, reliable protective measures should be taken for the lap joints of the membrane that folds from the base to the vertical surface.

6、After the concrete structure is completed and the vertical surface membrane is laid, the layers of membrane at the lap joints should be peeled back first, and their surfaces should be cleaned. If there is any damage to the membrane, it should be repaired in a timely manner, and the lap joint overlap length should be 150mm.

Precautions

1、 Construction is strictly prohibited during rain, snow, or winds above level 5.

2、The ambient temperature during construction should not be below 5°C.

3、 In the event of precipitation during the construction process, protective measures should be taken for the already laid membranes.

4、 At lower temperatures or where there is significant stress, hot melt construction or auxiliary heating can be used to lay the membrane.
